Each team member brings a unique perspective and set of skills to create a supportive and dynamic space where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every person can flourish.

Herbert Pryke
Artist & Creative Director
As the Creative Director at Artcures, Herbert is the visionary behind our collaborative art initiatives and creative workshops. As a DSW, his passion for empowering individuals through art drives him to create meaningful and transformative experiences for our participants.

Laurie Coish
Director of Engagement Logistics
As an urban abstract artist, my work is deeply rooted in the landscapes and textures that surround me. I am drawn to the vibrant energy of city life—especially the streets of Toronto—as much as I am inspired by the natural beauty of the Grey Bruce region. Colour and texture are at the heart of my practice, whether I'm creating expressive abstract compositions or abstract imagery. Each piece is a reflection of place, emotion, and movement—often capturing fleeting moments through layered brushwork and dynamic forms.

Al Dubuc
Community Technology Officer
By day, Al Dubuc serves the community through OSHARE (Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort), helping provide meals and support to individuals and families facing food insecurity. In his spare time, Al enjoys reading, playing board games, and crafting adventures for Dungeons & Dragons. As Artcures' resident technology wizard, he brings creativity, problem-solving, and technical expertise to our organization, helping our website and digital presence reach new heights.

Karen Marcy
Books, Beats, and Budget Officer
Karen brings a unique mix of creativity, practicality, and a very good eye for detail. With strong Ojibwe roots and a passion for drum making, she brings cultural knowledge and creativity to the board—along with the somewhat less glamorous superpower of balancing the books. Organized, reliable, and smart, Karen brings humour and insight to everything she does, proving that the person who can make a beautiful drum can also make the numbers sing.
Amber Henderson
Neurodivergent Innovator
Amber Henderson is a vibrant artist who transforms everyday objects into striking works of art, showcasing her boundless creativity. A devoted mom of five and a DSW, she seamlessly balances family, work, and her passion, drawing inspiration from the beautiful chaos of motherhood. Her adaptability fuels both her artistry and parenting, making her work uniquely relatable.
